The tech landscape in China has been invigorated with the launch of the iQOO 15, a smartphone that boasts cutting-edge features designed to captivate gamers and tech enthusiasts alike. Sporting a massive 7,000mAh battery, this device promises longevity and performance, making it a formidable competitor against other flagship models such as the Oppo Find X9, OnePlus 15, and Realme GT 8 Pro. At the heart of the iQOO 15 lies the advanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with an Adreno 840 GPU, ensuring smooth performance across various applications and gaming scenarios. The device also incorporates a self-developed Q3 gaming chip, which offloads specific tasks from the main processor, enhancing the gaming experience. One of the standout features of this smartphone is its 6.85-inch 2K+ curved LTPO AMOLED display, which supports HDR 10+ and offers a remarkable 144Hz refresh rate. With a peak brightness of 6,000 nits, users can expect vibrant visuals both indoors and outdoors. The display is complemented by 2160Hz PWM dimming and Dolby Vision support, catering to a premium viewing experience. In terms of storage and RAM, the iQOO 15 offers several configurations, including options of 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and storage capacities ranging from 256GB to 1TB of UFS 4.1. The device is available in a variety of colors including Lingyun, Legendary Edition, Track Edition, and Wilderness, and features a stylish squiricle camera module with RGB lighting for notifications and gaming alerts. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the triple-camera system, which includes a 50MP primary lens with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens also equipped with OIS. For selfies and video calls, the iQOO 15 is equipped with a 32MP front-facing camera. The device runs on the new OriginOS 6.0, based on Android 16, marking a departure from the previously used Funtouch OS in global models. Additionally, the phone is rated IP68/IP69 for water and dust resistance, allowing it to withstand submersion in water up to 1.5 meters and exposure to jets of water from any angle. With its competitive pricing, starting from 4,199 yuan for the base model, the iQOO 15 is set to make waves in the smartphone market, with plans for a launch in India next month. This combination of high-end specifications and innovative design positions it as a strong contender in the flagship segment.
