A recent leak has given enthusiasts a glimpse into the anticipated design of Apple's forthcoming iPhone 17 Pro, hinting at significant changes in both aesthetics and materials. Shared by the leaker known as "yeux1122" on a Korean-language Naver blog, the images purportedly reveal the device's chassis. While the authenticity of the showcased part remains uncertain—whether it's an actual frame or merely a prototype—it aligns with previous speculations regarding Apple's transition to an all-aluminium body for its Pro version. According to earlier insights from leaker Majin Bu, the rear of the device is expected to feature a glass cutout solely around the Apple logo, enabling wireless charging functionality. The remaining sections of the phone will utilize aluminium, a departure from the titanium material introduced in the iPhone 15 Pro. One of the standout features noted in the leak is the expansive rectangular camera module, which is designed to stretch nearly the entire width of the phone. This camera bump is anticipated to blend with the body color, eschewing the contrasting tones used in earlier models. If the rumors prove accurate, the iPhone 17 Pro will mark the first professional-grade model to adopt an aluminium frame since Apple differentiated its lineup into pro and non-pro variants. Notably, aluminium is approximately 40% lighter than titanium, potentially enhancing user comfort. Furthermore, it offers better heat distribution, which could assist in keeping the upcoming A19 Pro chip at optimal temperatures during intensive tasks. The leak also suggests that Apple is exploring a new vapor chamber cooling system to further enhance performance during demanding usage scenarios. As for color choices, potential options may include Black, White, Grey, Dark Blue, and Orange. Apple is gearing up to unveil the iPhone 17 series along with other products in the fall of 2025. While these details await official confirmation, the excitement surrounding the iPhone 17 Pro continues to build.
