Apple Watch Series 11 with sleep score, 24-hour battery and scratch-resistant display unveiled

Apple has officially unveiled the Apple Watch Series 11, showcasing a sleek new design that combines comfort and durability. This latest iteration boasts a robust 24-hour battery life, enhanced health tracking tools, and a display engineered to resist scratches more effectively than its predecessors. One of the standout features of the Series 11 is its 5G connectivity, allowing for faster data transfers and improved app performance. The watch is equipped with fast charging capabilities, providing up to eight hours of use after just a 15-minute charge. The new Ion-X glass, used in the aluminium models, has been fortified with a ceramic coating, making it twice as resistant to scratches. Meanwhile, the titanium variants maintain their durability with sapphire crystal displays. Stan Ng, Apple’s vice president of Apple Watch and Health Product Marketing, emphasized the watch's role as an essential health and fitness companion. "With a powerful new sleep score, longer battery life, and enhanced connectivity, all wrapped in a sleek design, the Apple Watch Series 11 is here to support users' health and safety at any time of day or night," he stated. The innovative sleep score feature evaluates various metrics, including heart rate and oxygen levels, to provide users with an easy-to-understand score each morning. This feature allows users to track their sleep trends through the Health app on their iPhones, as well as real-time updates via widgets on the watch face. Additionally, the latest watchOS 26 introduces Workout Buddy, an AI-driven coaching tool that offers personalized spoken encouragement during workouts, based on metrics like pace and heart rate. Users can also craft custom workouts within the iPhone’s Fitness app and access them directly on the watch. The revamped Workout app now includes features such as Race Route and Pacer, enhancing the workout experience. Music and podcast integration has been fine-tuned, enabling Apple Music to suggest workout-specific tracks or automatically queue up favorites as users begin their activities. The redesigned antenna system improves connectivity, particularly in areas with weak signals, by utilizing dual antennas for enhanced reception. The Apple Watch Series 11 continues to support calls and messaging capabilities, even when disconnected from an iPhone, ensuring that users stay connected at all times. Available in 42mm and 46mm sizes, the aluminium models come in various colors, including jet black and a new space grey, while the titanium models are available in natural, gold, and slate finishes. The Hermès collection also features new stylish bands. Pre-orders are now open in India and over 50 other countries, with the official release set for Friday, September 19. Prices in India begin at ₹46,900.
