Intel appoints former Trump advisor Robin Colwell to head government affairs

Intel has unveiled a series of significant appointments within its senior leadership team, focusing on government affairs, marketing, and advanced technology strategy. Among these notable hires is Robin Colwell, a former advisor to Donald Trump, who will take on the pivotal role of heading the company's government affairs. Colwell previously served as deputy assistant to the President and was the deputy director of the National Economic Council, where she played a crucial role in crafting administration policies across various sectors. In her new position at Intel, she will oversee the company's global interactions with policymakers, regulatory bodies, and industry leaders from her base in Washington, D.C. This role is particularly critical as Colwell will navigate trade regulations and manage Intel’s relationship with the federal government and the President. Lip-Bu Tan, Intel’s CEO, expressed confidence in Colwell’s capabilities, stating, "Robin’s extensive experience and profound understanding of intricate legal and policy frameworks will be a tremendous asset to Intel."
