Instagram has unveiled a new feature allowing creators to link multiple reels in a cohesive series, a move that aims to enhance viewer engagement. This capability, which mirrors a similar function on TikTok, makes it simpler for audiences to discover and follow interrelated content. With this feature, creators can seamlessly connect their videos when narrating a story or providing updates, eliminating the need for viewers to scroll or search for each part. For instance, rather than merely suggesting followers to 'come back for part 2,' creators can now organize their reels into a connected sequence, making it easier for audiences to stay engaged. Additionally, the feature allows for grouping similar videos together. For example, a creator showcasing a series of fall recipes can now consolidate all related content for easier access. Creators can link their reels during the captioning process or via the overflow menu on previously shared reels. Once reels are linked, viewers can navigate through the series using a new button positioned at the bottom left of the reel.
