Innefu Labs, a prominent player in the artificial intelligence sector, has successfully secured $30 million in a Series B funding round, spearheaded by Panthera Growth Partners. This significant investment will enable the New Delhi-based company to enhance its sovereign AI capabilities and expand its reach into international markets, all while gearing up for a potential public listing. The funding will be allocated towards advancing research and development in sovereign AI technology, broadening overseas operations, and developing new innovations in agentic AI and robotics. Additionally, Innefu Labs is set to create secure, domain-specific large language models tailored for high-stakes and sensitive environments. Founded in 2010 by Tarun Wig and Abhishek Sharma, Innefu Labs specializes in AI-driven platforms utilized by defense, intelligence, law enforcement, and revenue intelligence agencies. "Our mission from the outset has been clear: India should not rely on foreign technologies to protect its citizens, institutions, or digital landscape," stated Tarun Wig, co-founder and CEO of Innefu Labs. He emphasized the company's commitment to rapidly scaling its innovations and investing in advanced AI solutions to enhance autonomous decision-support systems. Wig also underscored the importance of nations owning their intelligence capabilities, asserting that Innefu is dedicated to keeping India at the forefront of this pivotal transition. The recent funding aligns with a growing trend among India's defense and security agencies to prioritize indigenous technology solutions, reflecting a broader initiative for self-reliance in crucial infrastructure and national security systems. Innefu Labs has consistently reported annual revenues exceeding Rs 100 crore and is witnessing an increasing influx of contracts valued at over Rs 100 crore across various sectors, including defense, intelligence, law enforcement, and revenue intelligence. Shilpa Kulkarni, founder and managing partner at Panthera Growth Partners, remarked, "Innefu has developed native, AI-powered software that addresses essential challenges in national defense and enterprise security infrastructure. Our investment decision was influenced by their proprietary technology, extensive domain expertise, and proven success in high-stakes, mission-critical environments."
