GST 2.0: Will Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi mobiles above₹50,000 become cheaper?

While the GST adjustments don't directly decrease the prices of phones or laptops, consumers can still benefit from festive season promotions. Major sales events like Amazon's Great Indian Festival and Flipkart's Big Billion Days are set to commence on September 23, 2025, providing opportunities for buyers to find deals on a variety of smartphones and accessories. The Amazon Great Indian Festival will feature reduced prices on top brands such as Samsung, Apple, OnePlus, iQOO, Xiaomi, realme, and Lava. Additionally, Prime members will enjoy early access to these sales. Flipkart will also showcase a range of electronic devices at discounted rates, including notable items like the Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) and Samsung Galaxy Book 4 laptops. On a different note, the automotive sector is expected to benefit significantly from the GST reforms. Several major car manufacturers have announced price cuts across their ranges, particularly as the GST on small cars has been reduced from 28% to 18%. This change makes car ownership more attainable for Indian consumers, providing considerable savings and encouraging more people to invest in vehicles.
