India to add 20,000 GPUs in a week, ramping up AI capacity beyond pre-existing 38,000 base, says Vaishnaw

In a bold move to elevate its artificial intelligence capabilities, India is set to integrate an additional 20,000 Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) into its national AI framework within the next week. This expansion comes on the heels of an existing base of over 38,000 GPUs, as announced by Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. This initiative is part of the government's comprehensive strategy to enhance the computing power necessary for AI research, development, and widespread implementation.
