In a significant leadership change at Indeed, CEO Chris Hyams has announced his departure from the role. Hisayuki Idekoba, the CEO of Indeed's parent company Recruit, is set to reclaim his position at Indeed following a six-year hiatus. Hyams will assist in the transition as a board advisor throughout this year. Since joining Indeed in 2010 as Vice President of Product, Hyams has overseen remarkable growth, with the platform now serving over 300 million job seekers monthly and achieving a revenue increase of 200 times. He highlighted that on average, 27 individuals secure jobs through Indeed every minute, equating to one hire every 2.2 seconds. With over 75 million people finding employment through the platform, Hyams acknowledged that this figure likely underrepresents the true impact of Indeed. Idekoba expressed gratitude for Hyams’ pivotal role in evolving Indeed from a basic job search tool to a comprehensive talent marketplace, emphasizing the company's profound transformation under his leadership.
