Mad Men’s 4K debut botched by HBO Max streaming episode with visible crewmembers

HBO Max aimed to rekindle interest in the beloved series 'Mad Men' by introducing a 4K version of the show, which originally aired from 2007 to 2015 on AMC. The series, known for its portrayal of the 1960s advertising scene in New York City, has long captivated audiences with its vintage charm. However, the highly anticipated 4K premiere has not gone as smoothly as planned. Fans, both new and old, were quick to notice some glaring issues with the streaming quality. One of the most notable problems was the accidental appearance of crew members in the background of a scene, which detracted from the viewing experience. The episode in question, titled "Red in the Face" (Season 1, Episode 7), was reportedly mislabeled in the streaming service’s library. In this particular episode, a scene featuring Roger Sterling, played by John Slattery, takes a cringe-worthy turn as he throws up oysters. Unfortunately for HBO Max, viewers could clearly see a crew member operating a vomit hose, leading to a wave of laughter and disappointment across social media. This blunder has become a talking point among fans, overshadowing the excitement surrounding the show's return in a modern format.
