Fleet Space finds massive lithium deposit using AI and satellites

In an impressive breakthrough, Fleet Space, a burgeoning startup, revealed that it has identified a significant lithium deposit in Quebec using its advanced AI and satellite technology. The task of discovering viable mineral resources is notoriously challenging, with only a mere three out of every 1,000 potential sites ultimately proving commercially viable. Traditional methods can take years, often involving extensive core sample drilling to confirm the presence of minerals. Fleet Space's innovative approach drastically enhances the efficiency of mineral exploration. By leveraging a constellation of satellites equipped with various sensors such as electromagnetic and gravity-sensing instruments, the company can effectively map subsurface geology. The data collected is processed through their sophisticated software platform, allowing them to pinpoint new drilling locations in as little as 48 hours, significantly cutting down the time required for decision-making. The current undertaking, known as the Cisco project, estimates the lithium oxide yield could reach as high as 329 million metric tons.
