In an ambitious move to redefine AI consumer products, Hark has successfully raised $700 million in a Series A funding round, positioning the company with a post-money valuation of $6 billion. This substantial investment was spearheaded by Parkway Venture Capital, alongside contributions from notable firms such as Align Ventures, AMD Ventures, ARK Invest, and several others. Founded by Brett Adcock, known for his ventures in robotics and electric aviation, Hark aims to create a universal AI interface that enhances user interaction with the digital realm. Launched in late 2025 with an initial investment of $100 million from Adcock, the company is gearing up to unveil its first multi-modal AI models this summer, designed to integrate seamlessly with existing products and services. The funds acquired will primarily be allocated towards attracting top-tier talent in hardware, product design, and AI research, as well as securing essential computational resources. Currently, Hark is staffed by 70 employees and operates a data center equipped with Nvidia B200 GPUs. Abidur Chowdhury, a former Apple product executive and Hark’s director of design, expressed excitement about the potential of their upcoming offerings. Despite being tight-lipped about specific details during a recent interview, he mentioned that investor feedback on preliminary demonstrations has been overwhelmingly positive. Chowdhury underscored the unique focus of Hark compared to other AI firms, which often prioritize coding tools instead of user-centric interfaces and hardware. However, challenges remain, particularly in ensuring user privacy and comfort when integrating AI assistants into daily life. Chowdhury acknowledged the difficulty of addressing these concerns but remained optimistic about Hark's potential to deliver innovative solutions that resonate with everyday users. As the industry evolves, Hark is poised to carve out a niche that prioritizes genuine user experience in the AI landscape.
