Grand Theft Auto V cheat service gets hacked, exposing thousands of gamers

Information exposed during the breach includes sensitive details such as email addresses, usernames, scrambled passwords, IP addresses, and support tickets. Ironically, Atlas Menu had previously promoted its platform as offering "secure authentication and enhanced privacy through advanced encryption techniques," although their website is currently unavailable. The hacker responsible for this breach has reportedly shared the stolen information on GitHub, revealing a motive that appears to stem from a desire for revenge against a scammer. Efforts to reach the owners of Atlas Menu for comment have been unsuccessful. Features offered by Atlas Menu, which included options like invisibility and super jumps, catered to gamers looking to gain an edge in their gameplay. The rise of game cheating has transformed it into a lucrative industry, with players often seeking any advantage over their rivals. This incident marks a continuation of a troubling trend, as Atlas Menu is not the first cheat service to experience a hacking incident; a similar breach occurred with a popular service for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive a few years prior.
