Grammarly rebrands to ‘Superhuman,’ launches a new AI assistant

In a bold move that defies traditional branding practices, Grammarly has rebranded itself as 'Superhuman' following its acquisition of the email client of the same name in July. While the Grammarly name will remain for its existing product offerings, the company is considering future rebranding for its recently acquired productivity platform, Coda. As part of this transformation, Superhuman is unveiling its latest innovation: Superhuman Go, an AI assistant seamlessly integrated into the Grammarly extension. This powerful tool is designed to enhance users' writing experiences by offering suggestions, providing email feedback, and integrating with popular applications such as Jira, Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar. Superhuman Go can streamline various tasks, from logging tickets to checking availability when scheduling meetings. The company also has plans to enhance the assistant's capabilities by allowing it to pull data from CRMs and internal systems, further refining email suggestions. Users can easily activate Superhuman Go by toggling a setting within the Grammarly extension, enabling connections to different applications. Additionally, a variety of agents—including a plagiarism checker and proofreader—are available in the company’s agent store, launched in August. All Grammarly users can access Superhuman Go immediately, with options for product bundles available. The Pro subscription plan is priced at $12 per month (billed annually), offering grammar and tone support across multiple languages. For businesses, the plan is available at $33 per month (billed annually) and includes access to Superhuman Mail. Superhuman aims to further enhance the Coda document suite and its email clients with new AI capabilities, enabling users to automatically generate additional details in documents and email drafts. With this strategic pivot, Superhuman is positioning itself to better compete against established productivity platforms like Notion, ClickUp, and Google Workspace, which have increasingly integrated AI features in recent years.
