Gorilla Technology, Yotta ink AI infrastructure deal to deploy 5,000+ GPUs in India

Gorilla Technology Group, based in the UK, has entered into a pivotal agreement with Yotta Data Services to establish a robust AI infrastructure in India. This initiative marks a significant milestone in the nation’s development of sovereign AI capabilities. The partnership will see the deployment of approximately 640 NVIDIA HGX B200 servers, which will collectively house over 5,000 GPUs. These systems are designed to facilitate extensive AI workloads for both enterprise and government applications. Gorilla anticipates that this project will generate upwards of $500 million in revenue over the next five years. Under the terms of the agreement, Gorilla will provide the GPU infrastructure through a long-term commercial arrangement, while Yotta will manage the systems at its state-of-the-art Uptime Tier IV NM1 data center located in Navi Mumbai. The new infrastructure will enable a variety of services, including hyperscale GPU clusters, bare-metal access, virtual machines, AI labs, and model endpoints. Jay Chandan, Chairman and CEO of Gorilla Technology, expressed the significance of this development, stating, "This is a defining step for Gorilla. India is one of the world’s most important AI growth markets, where sovereign ambition, hyperscale compute demand, and real infrastructure deployment are accelerating together." He further emphasized that partnering with Yotta places Gorilla at the forefront of India’s AI infrastructure expansion. Yotta, which operates expansive data center campuses in Greater Noida and Navi Mumbai, plans to incorporate this deployment into its Shakti Cloud platform. This platform is being positioned as a sovereign AI infrastructure solution for both Indian and international markets. Sunil Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of Yotta Data Services, highlighted the importance of substantial computing resources, stating, "India’s AI ambition will be built on access to serious compute, serious infrastructure, and partners that can execute at scale." Gupta also noted the potential for expanding the partnership, indicating that Gorilla will serve as a long-term infrastructure ally to support large-scale GPU deployment across India and beyond, meeting AI demands in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, and other developing markets.
