You can now transfer your chats and personal information from other chatbots directly into Gemini

Google explains that once memories are imported, Gemini can recognize crucial details, such as your interests or family members' names. This feature allows users to quickly bring Gemini up to speed without starting from scratch. For those looking to transfer chat histories, the process is straightforward. Users simply need to upload their chat logs in a zip file, which is a common export format used by many chatbots including ChatGPT and Claude. This capability ensures that users can easily continue their conversations right where they left off, enhancing the overall experience. While ChatGPT remains a dominant force in the consumer chatbot arena, boasting 900 million weekly active users as reported by OpenAI last month, Gemini is not far behind.
