Google's Gemini continues to make strides in the artificial intelligence landscape with the introduction of a new feature that allows users to create presentations in a matter of seconds. Following the enthusiasm surrounding its Nano Banana model, Gemini is now enhancing its offerings by integrating a presentation-generating capability into its Canvas tool. This innovative feature lets users upload documents, such as research papers, and request the AI to convert them into structured presentations. Alternatively, users can also create presentations by providing simple text prompts. The chatbot assists in designing themed slide decks that are ready for immediate use, streamlining the presentation creation process. Currently, this feature is being rolled out to Pro users, with plans to extend access to all users in the near future. While testing this new functionality through a Google Enterprise account, I found that it hadn’t yet been fully implemented. However, for those who do have access, there are a variety of prompts available to experiment with. For instance, users can upload a book to extract key insights or request Gemini Canvas to generate a presentation based on summarized content from another language model. Sample prompts include creating an educational presentation on climate change tailored for high school students or drafting a launch deck for a new product, complete with essential sections and speaker notes. With these advancements, Google’s Gemini is poised to significantly enhance how users approach presentation creation, making it easier and more efficient than ever before.
