Google AI Pro plan worth₹1950/month now free for a year for students in India

In an exciting new initiative, Google is offering university students in India a free one-year subscription to its AI Pro membership, which normally costs ₹1,950 per month. This special offer is set to remain available until September 15, 2025, and provides users with a suite of advanced AI tools and features, powered by cutting-edge artificial intelligence models. The AI Pro plan grants access to Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro model and Deep Research capabilities, allowing subscribers to leverage advanced generative AI functionalities. Additionally, students can explore Veo 3, Google's latest video generation platform, which enhances image-to-video conversion options through the previous Veo 2 model available on the Whisk platform. A limited version of Veo 3 Fast is also included in the package. Each month, students enrolled in the program will receive 1,000 AI credits that can be utilized on Flow and Whisk for various tasks related to text, image, and video creation. The plan also enhances productivity, enabling users to create up to five times more Audio Overviews and notebooks in NotebookLM. Furthermore, integration of the Gemini model within Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides enriches the AI support across Google’s productivity suite. An added advantage of this subscription is the provision of 2TB of cloud storage across Google services, including Drive, Gmail, and Photos, designed to accommodate larger project files and foster collaborative working environments. To take advantage of this free subscription, students must be at least 18 years old, reside in India, and have a personal Google account. Verification of student status is necessary through SheerID, using either a valid university email address or an official identification card. After verification, users will need to link a Google Payments account with an eligible payment method—be it UPI, a credit card, or a debit card—to activate their subscription. Eligible students can enjoy total savings of ₹21,450 over the year-long offer. However, it is important to note that this opportunity is exclusively available to university students in India and will cease after the September 2025 deadline.
