Google has announced a two-week delay in the launch of its innovative 'Ask Photos' feature, as shared by Google Photos product manager Jamie Aspinall on social media platform X. Aspinall indicated that the current version of the tool does not meet the desired standards for latency, quality, and overall user experience. While a select group of users currently has access to the feature, a refined version is set to be released in approximately two weeks to address these concerns. The 'Ask Photos' feature, which was unveiled during last year's Google I/O developer conference, leverages Google's Gemini AI model, allowing users to search their photo libraries using natural language queries. For instance, a user could request a selection of their best photographs from each visit to a National Park. As of now, Google has not provided any additional comments regarding this delay.
