Google Maps is about to get a big dose of AI

This innovative tool enables users to visualize their projects—whether a film set or a construction site—by simply entering a prompt into the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. With the right settings activated in Google Maps Imagery, users can generate detailed scenes almost instantly. The company highlighted that this feature allows for rapid storyboarding of creative concepts, complete with the option to animate scenes using Veo. Moreover, Google is enhancing data analysis capabilities with a new tool called Aerial and Satellite Insights, which facilitates the examination of satellite imagery stored in Google Cloud’s BigQuery. This advancement is designed to drastically reduce workload, condensing what would typically take weeks into mere minutes. Additionally, Google is rolling out two novel Earth AI Imagery models aimed at optimizing geospatial analysis. These AI systems are adept at recognizing specific elements in images, such as bridges, roads, and power lines. Previously, organizations had to invest significant time and resources into developing their own AI systems for these tasks, a process that could span months. The introduction of these new models means businesses can now streamline their operations without starting from scratch.
