Google expands Veo 3 AI video tool to India, now available via Gemini AI Pro plan

Google has announced the launch of its Veo 3 AI video generation model in India, making it available through the Gemini app and its web platform. This expansion means that users in India, along with those in previously excluded regions like the UK and European Union, can now access the advanced video generation capabilities of Veo 3. Initially unveiled during the Google I/O event in May 2025, Veo 3 represents the company's most sophisticated video generation technology. It was first introduced in select markets including Australia, Japan, and Malaysia. With this latest rollout, Indian subscribers to the Google AI Pro plan, priced at ₹1,950 per month, can start creating AI videos using the new model. This subscription, which has been rebranded from the Google One AI Premium plan, offers a one-month free trial and includes access to additional premium features such as the AI filmmaking app Flow, NotebookLM Plus, and Gemini integration for Google Workspace applications, along with 2TB of storage across Gmail, Drive, and Photos. However, users should note that there is a limit on video creation with Veo 3. Subscribers can generate up to ten videos, with no current options for purchasing additional credits or resets. Compared to its predecessor, Veo 2, the new model boasts substantial improvements, including enhanced visual quality, better motion and character consistency, and the ability to generate native audio. This means that Veo 3 can create immersive videos with ambient soundscapes and realistic voice-like audio, while also being able to produce clips that last up to eight seconds. In addition to its standalone capabilities, Google is reportedly looking to integrate Veo 3 more deeply into popular platforms such as YouTube Shorts and Canva, allowing creators to generate AI-driven content directly within those environments.
