Google has rolled out its most significant update in wearables with the introduction of the Pixel Watch 4, alongside the new Pixel Buds 2a and enhancements for the Pixel Buds Pro 2. These devices aim to elevate health tracking, productivity, and entertainment, seamlessly integrating with the broader Pixel ecosystem. The Pixel Watch 4 boasts a newly designed domed Actua 360 display, offering a 10 percent larger active area and 16 percent smaller bezels, resulting in a nearly edge-to-edge look. It reaches a peak brightness of 3000 nits, ensuring visibility even in bright sunlight. The watch features enhanced haptics, an improved speaker for superior audio quality, and introduces functionality for instant assistance on the go. Notably, it retains its specialized ability to detect a loss of pulse, reinforcing its position as a health-centric wearable. The battery life has received a significant boost, with the 41mm model providing up to 30 hours and the 45mm model up to 40 hours. With Battery Saver mode, these figures extend to two days and three days, respectively. Furthermore, a new Quick Charge Dock can power the device to 50 percent in just 15 minutes. Under its sleek design, the Pixel Watch 4 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Wearable Platform, supported by a machine learning co-processor that is 25 percent faster while consuming half the power. Constructed with aerospace-grade aluminum and Gorilla Glass, it is water-resistant up to 50 meters and, for the first time, features a replaceable battery and display. The pricing remains consistent with last year, set at ₹39,900 for the 41mm model and ₹43,900 for the 45mm model. On the audio front, Google has unveiled the Pixel Buds 2a, marking the first in the A-series to incorporate Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Powered by the Tensor A1 chip, these earbuds feature Silent Seal 1.5 for optimized ANC performance. Designed for comfort, they include a twist-to-adjust stabilizer, four different eartip sizes, and a lightweight construction, all while boasting an IP54 rating for sweat and water resistance. Available in Iris and Hazel colors, the Buds 2a offer up to seven hours of listening time with ANC activated, which can extend to 20 hours with the charging case. In non-ANC mode, listening time doubles compared to the first-generation A-series. Additionally, the Pixel Buds Pro 2, which debuted last year featuring Tensor A1 and Gemini integration, will soon be available in a new Moonstone color to match the Pixel 10 series. Google has also announced a forthcoming software update that will introduce new features for the Buds Pro 2.
