In a significant move, Google has unveiled the global expansion of its AI Plus subscription plan, now accessible in 35 new countries and territories. This initiative includes major markets such as the United States and South Korea, making cutting-edge AI tools available to a broader audience. The AI Plus subscription is attractively priced at $7.99 per month in the United States and just Rs 399 per month in India, offering a budget-friendly option compared to other Google AI services. This plan grants users access to sophisticated AI models and an array of productivity and creative tools. With the Gemini app, subscribers can utilize advanced features like Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro, tap into AI filmmaking resources through Flow, and receive enhanced research and writing support via NotebookLM. Additionally, the plan includes 200GB of cloud storage, which can be shared with up to five family members. Notably, those who are subscribed to the Google One Premium 2TB plan will automatically benefit from an upgrade to the Google AI Plus features at no additional cost, seamlessly integrating premium storage with advanced AI functionalities. As part of the launch, Google is offering a promotional discount of 50% for the first two months to new subscribers. This means introductory pricing starts at an enticing $3.99 in the US and Rs 199 in India for the first six months. The Google AI Plus subscription, which was initially introduced in September 2024 in Indonesia, is designed to compete directly with OpenAI’s ChatGPT Go plan, aiming to attract a wider user base and increase engagement among students, creators, and families around the globe.
