Google has launched an innovative tool known as Flight Deals, designed specifically for travellers who value flexibility and cost savings. Integrated within Google Flights, this AI-enhanced feature allows users to articulate their travel preferences in a straightforward manner, enabling the system to identify optimal offers. Instead of manually sifting through dates, destinations, and filters, users can input specific requests such as, "a week-long trip this winter to a food-centric city, nonstop only" or "a 10-day ski vacation to a premier resort with fresh snowfall." The AI then analyzes these prompts, leveraging Google's real-time flight data to present tailored options from a wide array of airlines and booking platforms. Jade Kessler, Product Manager for Google Flights, stated, "What sets Flight Deals apart is its ability to utilize Google’s sophisticated AI to grasp the subtle details of your travel desires and pinpoint suitable destinations." The feature will be rolling out in beta across the U.S., Canada, and India within the next week. Accessing Flight Deals is easy; users can find it directly on the Flight Deals page or through the menu on Google Flights. Google reassured users that the standard Google Flights will continue to operate and evolve, including enhancements such as the ability to exclude basic economy fares for trips within the U.S. and Canada. With Flight Deals, Google aims to streamline the trip planning process, making it quicker, more personalized, and budget-friendly for those who travel flexibly.
