Google's viral Veo 3 video generator is now available to Gemini users in India

In a significant move for tech enthusiasts, Google has rolled out its innovative Veo 3 video generator to users in India, following its much-anticipated debut at the I/O 2025 developer conference. After captivating audiences worldwide, this cutting-edge tool is now available, but it comes with restrictions. Similar to users in other regions, only Pro subscribers will have access to this feature. Alongside India, the Veo 3 service is being launched in 158 additional countries, including Indonesia and various European nations. Initially, this video generator was exclusive to Google's Ultra tier subscribers, but it was later made accessible to AI Pro subscribers when it was fast-tracked for release in June. In India, the AI Pro subscription is priced at ₹1,950 per month, while the AI Ultra subscription costs ₹12,200 for three months. Pro users are able to create 720p video clips lasting up to eight seconds, with a limit of generating three videos each day. To produce more content, users must wait until the following day. To generate a video with Veo 3, users need to follow a few simple steps: purchase a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription, navigate to the Gemini app, select the ‘Video’ section, describe their desired video, and watch as Gemini produces the content. The Veo 3 model is celebrated for its ability to create hyper-realistic videos that appear as if captured by a camera, complete with audio—a feature that sets it apart from many other video generation tools. To ensure responsible use of this technology, Google plans to add visible watermarks to videos created by the AI model, excluding those made by Ultra members using the Flow tool for filmmakers. Furthermore, to combat potential misuse, all AI-generated content will include a SynthID watermark, embedded within the media.
