Google’s AI Mode now lets you link and interact with select apps

This conversational search tool now supports integration with apps such as Instacart, Canva, and YouTube, transforming the way users interact with their favorite services. Similarly, users working on design projects can request templates from Canva to aid in their creative endeavors. Another feature allows users to generate playlists for gatherings and save them directly to YouTube Music, enhancing the usability of AI Mode. This update is currently rolling out in the U.S., with Google indicating plans to collaborate with a variety of partners to expand app support further. This announcement builds on previous developments showcased during Google I/O earlier this year, where the ability to connect third-party apps to the Gemini app was highlighted. Current supported applications include Canva, OpenTable, Spark, and Instacart. Since its inception in early 2025, Google has been diligently enhancing AI Mode with new capabilities.
