Gnani.ai hires senior executives across BFSI, product and AI delivery after $10 million funding

Gnani.ai, a prominent voice AI startup in India, is ramping up its leadership team by hiring eight senior executives across various key functions, including marketing, banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI), product development, human resources, and AI delivery. This strategic move follows the initial phase of a $10 million Series B funding round spearheaded by Aavishkaar Capital and Info Edge Ventures, as the company aims to broaden its enterprise footprint and enhance its market presence. The Bengaluru-based firm has welcomed Rajesh Pantina as the vice president of marketing, while Om Joshi takes on the role of senior director for product marketing and client solutions. Ankur Agrawal has been appointed vice president and general manager for international and strategic partnerships. Additionally, Farooq Patel joins as the senior vice president and India general manager for BFSI AI and revenue, and Rajat Kumar Das steps in as director of product. Further strengthening the team, Sateesh Chandran has been named director of delivery, Samuel Thomas will oversee human resources, and Adish Wamburkar will lead AI transformation, focusing on government and public sector initiatives. "After our Series B funding, we are accelerating on every front — from building sovereign AI infrastructure to enhancing our global go-to-market strategies. Each of these new leaders possesses the expertise necessary for our next growth phase, allowing us not only to expand but also to take a leadership role in the emerging category we’re creating," commented Ganesh Gopalan, co-founder and CEO of Gnani.ai. The influx of talent comes as Indian AI startups strive to develop enterprise-grade AI solutions tailored to local languages and adhere to industry regulations. Currently, Gnani.ai processes over 30 million voice AI calls each day for more than 200 enterprise clients across diverse sectors, including BFSI, telecommunications, healthcare, automotive, and government. Many of the newly appointed executives bring valuable experience from established global technology and consulting firms, with Pantina previously leading enterprise marketing at Whatfix, Agrawal having a background in enterprise SaaS and AI at Boston Consulting Group and fintech company Clear, and Patel drawing experience from JPMorgan.
