The social media platform X, which is under the ownership of Elon Musk, encountered significant access problems on March 26, with users from India and various other countries voicing their frustrations. Reports gathered by Downdetector indicated that approximately 1,800 users in India alone experienced difficulties by 1 PM, with issues affecting several features of the service. Among those affected in India, 38% of users cited problems with the app, while 37% struggled to access their feeds and timelines. Additionally, 13% of users reported issues with the website itself. The outage was not limited to India, as more than 22,500 users in the United States also raised similar concerns. In the UK, nearly 7,600 users reported difficulties, while Canada had over 2,700 complaints, and Australia saw around 1,600 instances of users facing disruptions. The precise reason for this outage remains unknown at this stage, and the company has not issued any immediate comments regarding the situation. This incident marks yet another chapter in a series of outages that the platform has endured in recent months, including significant disruptions in January and February, as well as additional issues on March 18 and March 23.
