Upcoming phone launches in July 2025: OnePlus Nord 5 series and more

If you're in the market for a new smartphone, it might be wise to hold off your purchase for a few more days. July 2025 promises to be an exciting month filled with significant smartphone debuts. While OnePlus and Samsung are poised to dominate the headlines, several smaller brands are also gearing up to unveil budget-friendly options. OnePlus is set to showcase its latest additions to the Nord series—the Nord 5 and Nord CE 5—during its Summer Launch Event on July 8. Alongside these new smartphones, OnePlus will introduce the OnePlus Buds 4, which succeed last year's Buds 3. The Nord 5 will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, while the Nord CE 5 is expected to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor, a chip already seen in devices like the Infinix GT 30 Pro and Motorola Edge 60 Pro. On the same date, Samsung will hold its highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event, although the company has yet to officially announce the devices set for release. However, it's widely anticipated that the new Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold series will be unveiled, including the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7. Additionally, reports suggest that Samsung may introduce the Galaxy Z Flip FE, the Galaxy Watch 8 series, and possibly a new Galaxy Buds lineup, along with updates on the latest One UI 8. In another exciting development, the AI+ smartphone brand, led by Madhav Sheth, is launching its inaugural devices on July 8. The models, named Pulse and Nova 5G, will be available through Flipkart and Shopsy. According to a dedicated microsite, the Nova 5G will feature a 50MP primary camera, a robust 5,000mAh battery, and support for up to 1TB of expandable storage via microSD. On July 4, Tecno will debut the Pova 7 in India, boasting customizable lights around the camera module, branded as the Delta Light interface. If it mirrors its global variant, it could come with the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor, a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 6,000mAh battery, and 70W wired fast charging. Additionally, Honor has announced plans to launch the Honor X9c in India as an Amazon exclusive. While a specific release date is yet to be confirmed, it is anticipated to debut in July. The Honor X9c is expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 4,000 nits, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, alongside up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Stay tuned for these exciting launches as they unfold throughout July, offering a range of choices for every smartphone enthusiast.
