She researched the best foods to introduce to infants, utilizing data from the Department of Agriculture and assistance from ChatGPT. The result was Nutribabe, a daily checklist app aimed at ensuring babies receive the right nutrition at the right time. This innovative endeavor is part of a larger trend where everyday individuals leverage AI to solve common problems, as highlighted in Business Insider's series "Vibe Code Your Life." Balancing motherhood and app development presented its challenges. With a five-month-old baby, Lin found it difficult to dedicate long hours to coding. Instead, she carved out short periods to work on Nutribabe, often interrupted by her baby’s needs. Her husband, a machine learning engineer, provided valuable insights, enhancing her understanding of AI and app development. Now that Nutribabe is live, Lin has started using it daily and reports feeling more organized and confident. Looking ahead, her next goal is to adapt the web app for mobile use and conduct further user testing. "I want to validate some specific product features with my mom friends before opening it up to a wider audience," she added, highlighting her commitment to ensuring the app meets the needs of other parents as well.
