Relocating from Los Angeles to San Francisco can feel like entering an entirely new universe, especially when transitioning from journalism to the fast-paced world of AI startups. My journey began with an unexpected direct message on X, which led me to Corgi, an AI insurance startup that has recently gained attention for its ambitious work culture. Originally rooted in the comforts of LA, where I built a career covering local news and crypto, the decision to move was not made lightly. However, after visiting Corgi’s team and securing a position as Head of Brand, my life took a dramatic turn. San Francisco radiates an energy that is hard to describe, one that is deeply intertwined with the belief that AI is ushering in significant change.
