Flighty’s new update gives you real-time alerts about airport disturbances

In an era where airport disruptions have become increasingly common, the flight tracking application Flighty has introduced a groundbreaking feature called "Airport Intelligence." This new tool provides users with real-time alerts regarding disturbances across 14,000 airports worldwide, along with explanations for these disruptions. The launch comes at a crucial time, as ongoing tensions in the Middle East have led to numerous flight delays, cancellations, and even airport closures. Additionally, the U.S. is currently grappling with a shortage of Transportation Security Administration agents, resulting in closed security checkpoints and significantly longer wait times for travelers. Flighty is expanding its offering to include a web dashboard, allowing all users to monitor disruptions without charge. The company utilizes the same data that pilots and airlines rely on, which encompasses thousands of real-time airport advisories. This includes vital information such as Meteorological Aerodrome Reports (METARs), Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts (TAFs), and Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs). Such data equips Flighty with insights into airport operations, including ground stops and landing procedures. To ensure accessibility, Flighty translates technical aviation jargon into user-friendly language, enabling travelers to easily grasp how various factors may affect their journeys. "Airport meltdowns are increasingly common, and until now, understanding their causes required expert knowledge. Airport Intelligence transforms raw data into meaningful insights, keeping you informed about your airport's status," stated Flighty CEO Ryan Jones. The latest update also enhances the app with features such as airport warnings detailing issues like hail, low visibility, de-icing, and lightning. Additionally, users can access AI-generated summaries predicting flight delays based on various influencing factors. The update includes Deep Airport Stats, showcasing the busiest airlines, most impacted routes, airport rankings, and links to official airport websites for easy navigation. Moreover, travelers can set alerts for their favorite airports and view comprehensive boards displaying all arrivals and departures, complete with performance trends. A unique social feature allows users to compare airport visits with friends directly in the app. Furthermore, Flighty has introduced a TV mode designed for broadcasters, creators, and newsrooms, enabling them to display live airport statuses on screens, accompanied by an updating ticker for real-time information.
