This Dubai restaurant will have an AI chef making all your dishes: Check all the details

Dubai is gearing up for an extraordinary culinary adventure with the upcoming launch of WOOHOO, a restaurant set to redefine dining as we know it. Slated to open in September 2025 at the luxurious Kempinski The Boulevard Hotel, this innovative venue will feature an AI chef named Aiman, marking a significant fusion of artificial intelligence and gourmet cuisine. Developed by Gastronaut Hospitality, the minds behind popular local establishments such as Trove and BohoX, WOOHOO promises more than just a novelty. The restaurant will leverage sophisticated AI technology to curate its menu, enhance the dining atmosphere, and optimize service, delivering a unique experience that marries analytics with artistry. Aiman, derived from the terms “AI” and “man,” has been meticulously trained using extensive data on food science, ingredient properties, and a vast array of global recipes. This AI system carefully examines flavor profiles, ingredient interactions, and seasonal availability to propose exciting dish combinations. Although Aiman lacks the ability to taste or smell, it collaborates with renowned Dubai chef Reif Othman, who provides essential feedback to help translate AI-generated ideas into delectable meals. Diners can look forward to an exciting array of dishes, including umami-rich sushi rolls, tangy ceviche, and expertly balanced robata skewers. The beverage selection will feature drinks tailored by algorithms and innovative molecular mixology, extending the AI’s influence beyond just the food. In a departure from typical AI roles, Aiman is designed as a creative collaborator, offering real-time suggestions, reimagining traditional recipes, and even proposing strategies to minimize food waste by repurposing ingredients like fats and meat trimmings. But the experience at WOOHOO transcends the culinary delights. The restaurant’s design combines cyberpunk elements with opulence, featuring interactive LED displays, futuristic textures, and captivating digital art. In addition, a hidden lounge named Spock promises an immersive simulated space journey, complete with atmospheric soundscapes and live DJ performances. "Human cooking will not be replaced, but we believe Aiman will enhance creativity and innovation in the kitchen," said Oytun Cakir, CEO of Gastronaut, in a statement to Reuters.
