Krafton has rolled out the exciting 3.9 update for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), featuring a thrilling collaboration with the Transformers franchise. This update introduces a unique limited-time mode where players can summon the legendary Optimus Prime during their matches, marking a remarkable intersection of mobile gaming and pop culture. Players can utilize a new in-game item known as the Spacebridge Beacon, which is available in designated drop zones. By deploying this beacon, users can call forth Optimus in his truck form, and upon arrival, he transforms into his powerful robot avatar. Optimus Prime comes equipped with formidable abilities, including the Thermal Axe and Charge Slam, making gameplay even more dynamic. Throughout the match, players can gather Energon Cubes, which serve as upgrade tools to enhance Optimus Prime's combat capabilities and unlock a devastating ultimate move. Additionally, a new in-game event called the Transformers Prize Path is set to launch on July 18. This event allows players to complete missions and level up, unlocking skins and other cosmetic items themed around Optimus Prime. Another thrilling element introduced in this update is the Nemesis Showdown. If both Optimus Prime and Megatron are summoned in the same match, a spectacular cinematic battle can ensue between the two iconic characters, adding an exhilarating layer to the gameplay. The BGMI 3.9 update is now available for download on both Android and iOS platforms. In related news, Krafton is reportedly assessing the possibility of extending the timeline for a potential bonus payout at its subsidiary, Unknown Worlds, due to the delay in the release of Subnautica 2 until next year. Approximately 40 team members at Unknown Worlds were anticipating a share of a $25 million bonus, which depended on the studio achieving specific revenue targets by the end of 2025, as reported by Bloomberg. Given the game's postponement, concerns have emerged about meeting those goals, placing the team’s financial expectations at risk.
