Sony has unveiled the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue for January 2026, confirming earlier predictions about the exciting titles set to debut this month. This first update of the new year showcases a diverse array of games, including survival horror, role-playing, racing, and indie titles, catering to a wide range of gaming preferences for PS Plus Extra and Deluxe or Premium subscribers. At the forefront of this release is Resident Evil Village, the eighth installment in Capcom’s iconic survival horror series. This fan-favorite will be available starting January 20, coinciding with its launch on Xbox Game Pass. The release comes just ahead of Resident Evil Requiem, the eagerly anticipated next chapter in the franchise, set to arrive on February 27. In Village, players follow Ethan Winters as he embarks on a harrowing journey through a sinister European village in search of his kidnapped daughter, encountering a variety of grotesque enemies along the way. Both PS4 and PS5 owners will have access to this chilling adventure. Another highlight of the January lineup is Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the latest entry in Sega’s beloved Yakuza series, which made its debut in 2024. This action RPG introduces players to dual protagonists Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu, marking a significant evolution for the series as it unfolds primarily outside of Japan. Set in the vibrant backdrop of Honolulu, Hawaii, Kasuga’s quest to find his mother leads him into a web of conspiracies that ultimately reunites him with Kiryu. Infinite Wealth will also be available for both PS4 and PS5. In addition to these major titles, Sony is expanding the Game Catalogue with several other noteworthy games. Players can look forward to the vehicle simulation experience Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, the survival horror adventure A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, the roguelike RPG Darkest Dungeon II, and the minimalist walking simulator The Exit 8. Racing enthusiasts can get behind the wheel in Art of Rally, while puzzle lovers will enjoy A Little to the Left, a game designed around the satisfying organization of everyday items. All of these exciting games will be playable starting January 20, making it a thrilling start to the gaming year.
