PS Plus August line-up features Lies of P, DayZ and My Hero Academia Fighter

Sony has unveiled the lineup for PlayStation Plus subscribers for August 2025, featuring a trio of captivating titles available from August 5. The new additions include the intriguing 'Lies of P,' the survival challenge 'DayZ,' and the action-packed 'My Hero One’s Justice 2,' each promising diverse gameplay experiences that cater to different gaming tastes. This announcement coincides with the ongoing celebration of PlayStation Plus's 15th anniversary. As part of the festivities, subscribers can also access a collection of special commemorative avatars at no extra charge. These avatars showcase beloved characters and themes from a variety of hit games, including 'Cyberpunk 2077,' 'Hogwarts Legacy,' 'Diablo IV,' 'God of War Ragnarök,' and 'Twisted Metal.' 'Lies of P,' inspired by Carlo Collodi's classic 'The Adventures of Pinocchio,' plunges players into a haunting Belle Époque-era city known as Krat. In this Soulslike action game, gamers assume the role of Pinocchio, navigating a world overrun by crazed puppets and lost souls. With a focus on upgradable Legion Arms and a unique lying mechanic that influences the storyline, players are challenged to shape the protagonist's quest for humanity. On the other hand, 'DayZ' has transitioned from a mod to a standalone multiplayer survival experience. Set in a post-apocalyptic landscape, it requires players to traverse treacherous environments, scavenge for vital resources, and contend with threats posed by both infected beings and rival players. The game features two distinct maps: the original Chernarus and the expansive Livonia, a 163 km² area that presents new challenges. Notably, death in 'DayZ' is permanent, compelling players to restart their journey from the beginning. Lastly, 'My Hero One’s Justice 2' is a 3D arena fighter based on the immensely popular 'My Hero Academia' anime. Building on its predecessor's mechanics, this game offers an impressive roster of characters, allowing fans to utilize their unique Quirks in dynamic battles. This title is sure to appeal to both fans of the anime and fighting game enthusiasts alike. For those wishing to claim last month's offerings—'Diablo IV,' 'The King of Fighters XV,' and 'Jusant'—be sure to do so by August 4, as they will soon be replaced by the exciting new lineup.
