Epiminds, a pioneering marketing technology startup, has successfully raised $6.6 million in seed funding, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and supported by European investors EWOR and Entourage. Founded by industry veterans Elias Malm from Google and Mo Elkhidir from Spotify in 2025, the Swedish company is determined to reshape the marketing landscape by harnessing the power of artificial intelligence. The core of Epiminds' offering is an innovative AI bot named 'Lucy,' which employs over 20 autonomous agents designed to streamline various marketing tasks. From analyzing advertising performance to devising and launching marketing campaigns, Lucy aims to empower marketers by simplifying their workflows. As Malm explained, "What we are building is an operating system for marketing," emphasizing the goal of creating a neutral player that serves both companies and agencies effectively. Marketers can interact with Lucy directly via email, requesting services like detailed data reports. They can even engage further by asking Lucy specific questions to gain deeper insights. If Lucy identifies opportunities for improvement, she can propose new campaigns and publish them across platforms such as Google Ads and Meta Ads, according to Elkhidir. Rather than viewing AI as a replacement for human marketers, Epiminds positions Lucy as a 'senior colleague' that enhances productivity. Malm states, "We think that agentic AI can make agencies work with more clients and make it easily accessible. We want to empower people to focus on strategic and creative aspects, rather than mundane tasks." Currently, Epiminds collaborates with around 20 performance marketing agencies across the Nordic region, the Netherlands, and the US. The technology allows for customization according to each agency's specific strategies and requirements. Utilizing a combination of off-the-shelf large language models from Google and OpenAI, alongside its proprietary data processing framework, Epiminds aims to optimize marketing efforts. While the startup is still refining its pricing model, it charges agencies on a per-user basis and plans to expand its team, currently composed only of Malm and Elkhidir, as well as broaden its market reach. With the potential to save agencies significant time—up to 40%—Epiminds is poised to make a substantial impact in the advertising industry. As stated in their pitch deck, "We did this in 10 weeks - we will take over the market in 10 months."
