The New York Comic Con (NYCC) has officially begun, unveiling an exciting extended teaser for the upcoming series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. This new addition to the Game of Thrones universe is adapted from George R.R. Martin's novella series, Tales of Dunk and Egg. The story is based on the first novella, The Hedge Knight, and takes place 50 years after the events portrayed in House of the Dragon. Set in a time when the Targaryens still reign over the Iron Throne and the memory of dragons lingers, the series follows two unlikely heroes: the young and brave knight Ser Duncan the Tall, also known as Dunk, and his small yet spirited squire, Egg. The plot showcases their adventures across Westeros, highlighting their friendship and the formidable challenges they face. Peter Claffey takes on the role of Dunk, while Dexter Sol Ansell portrays Prince Aegon Targaryen, affectionately known as Egg. The cast also features Finn Bennett as Egg’s older sibling, Prince Aerion "Brightflame" Targaryen, Bertie Carvel as Prince Baelor "Breakspear" Targaryen, who is the heir to the Iron Throne, Tanzyn Crawford as a Dornish puppeteer named Tanselle, Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel "Laughing Storm" Baratheon, and Sam Spruell as Prince Maekar Targaryen, Egg's father. With formidable destinies and epic exploits on the horizon, fans of the franchise have much to look forward to.
