Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Crossover is real – Legendary Warbond drops 26 August!

In an exciting announcement, Sony has revealed the launch of the first-ever Legendary Warbond for Helldivers 2, featuring a much-anticipated crossover with Halo: ODST. Set to go live on August 26, this collaboration introduces a wealth of weapons, armor, and cosmetics inspired by the beloved Halo 3: ODST universe. Players will step into the role of the 'Obedient Democracy Support Troopers' (ODST), affectionately known as Helljumpers, as they continue their mission for Managed Democracy. The new gear allows players to outfit their Helldivers with equipment that not only pays tribute to the iconic squad but also enhances battlefield performance. Among the impressive arsenal included in this Warbond is the MA5C Assault Rifle, which is equipped with an ammo counter and a compass for effective navigation during combat. The M6C/SOCOM Pistol makes its debut with a suppressor—an exciting first for Helldivers 2—alongside a laser sight and flashlight for stealthy operations. For those close-quarters confrontations, the M90A Shotgun offers formidable stopping power and features a mounted flashlight. Additionally, the M7S SMG is designed for precision strikes, featuring a suppressed, caseless configuration for quiet tactics. Two distinct armor sets enhance the experience further. The A-9 Helljumper Armor Set, which pays homage to a legendary Lance Corporal of ODST fame, comes with a unique 'Feet First' passive ability. In contrast, the A-35 Recon Armor Set, inspired by an intelligence officer’s gear, also boasts the 'Feet First' boost, reducing movement noise, enhancing detection range by 30%, and providing immunity to leg injuries. Customization options extend to themed capes, such as the Honoured Heirloom, adorned with the ODST insignia, and the Eye of the Clandestine for those who favor stealth. Players can also personalize their experience with ODST-themed player cards, a new title, and a ‘Mean Green’ design for vehicles and equipment, including hellpods and exosuits. Available for 1,500 Super Credits at the Acquisitions Centre, the Legendary Warbond reflects its premium content with a higher price point compared to standard Warbonds. It's important to note that these Legendary Warbonds will not work with the new Premium Warbond Token launching on the same date. This crossover event is slated to go live on August 26 at 5 am PT / 1 pm BST, marking a significant occasion for fans from both gaming communities.
