Google settlement with Epic caps Play Store fees, boosts other Android app stores

In a significant turn of events, Google has reached a settlement with Epic Games after a prolonged legal battle that centered around allegations of anti-competitive practices in the mobile app market. This agreement marks a crucial shift in how apps are distributed on Android, potentially reshaping the landscape of mobile applications globally. While the settlement awaits judicial approval, it is set to lay the groundwork for comprehensive changes to the Android app distribution model.
