In a groundbreaking collaboration, Nykaa has teamed up with Snapchat to launch the ‘Nykaa Snap Star Beauty Incubator Program’, a pioneering initiative aimed at supporting the next generation of beauty influencers in India. This program is set to transform the landscape of beauty, culture, and digital content creation by fostering a vibrant community of young creators. The incubator will select a diverse group of emerging talents from across India, providing them with invaluable resources such as personalized guidance from Snapchat’s platform specialists and expert mentorship in beauty from Nykaa. Participants will have the opportunity to produce captivating content that covers various aspects of beauty, including makeup, skincare, fragrance, and personal care. Additionally, they will gain privileged access to new product launches, augmented reality tools, and unique cultural collaborations. As part of this initiative, creators will participate in Snap Schools and benefit from mentorship provided by Snapchat’s dedicated teams. Outstanding participants will have the chance to earn the prestigious title of Snap Star, a recognition awarded to distinguished creators worldwide. Furthermore, they will engage in Snapchat events and collaborate on brand partnerships and cultural campaigns. All participants will be united under the banner of the #NykaaSnapStarSquad, a co-owned intellectual property by Nykaa and Snapchat, which aims to foster real-time dialogues about beauty on the platform. A representative from Nykaa expressed, “We have always supported voices that are redefining beauty in India, and Gen Z is at the forefront of this evolution. They are not just setting trends; they are igniting movements. Snapchat shares our vision, being a dynamic and expressive platform that resonates with this generation. This incubator serves as a launchpad for India’s upcoming beauty storytellers, allowing them to explore, create, and lead in their unique style.” Saket Jha Saurabh, Director and Head of Content & AR Partnerships at Snap Inc., added, “Insights from our Snap BCG Gen Z report illustrate a clear picture: India’s beauty and personal care market stands at a staggering $15-20 billion, with Gen Z driving 44% of this market. Their influence extends beyond consumer behavior; they shape discussions through creativity and visual storytelling, which is central to the Snapchat experience. The ‘Gen Z Beauty Creator Incubator’ aims to empower this generation, giving them the tools to express their narratives authentically. We are excited to partner with Nykaa to cultivate the next leaders in beauty who will inspire their peers, one Snap at a time.” Applications for the ‘Nykaa Snap Star Beauty Incubator Program’ are now open on the official platforms of Nykaa and Snapchat.
