EMotorad launches Ranger, a motorcycle-style e-cycle aimed at urban riders

EMotorad, an electric bicycle manufacturer based in Pune, has launched its latest innovation, the Ranger—a motorcycle-inspired e-cycle that aims to blend the thrill of riding with the practicality required for urban commuting. With a price tag of ₹55,999, the Ranger is now available through EMotorad’s retail stores and online marketplaces like Amazon and Flipkart. This new e-cycle is specifically designed for Indian consumers seeking an adventurous yet efficient way to navigate both city streets and off-road trails, sidestepping the traditional hassles of fuel and paperwork associated with conventional motorcycles. Sporting an aggressive design, wide tyres, and a throttle-based operation, the Ranger captures the essence of motorbike riding while promoting the environmental benefits of cycling. Kunal Gupta, co-founder and CEO of EMotorad, remarked, “With the Ranger, we are redefining the boundaries of electric cycling. It looks like a motorcycle, rides like an e-cycle, and embodies our vision that the future of mobility should be accessible, exciting, and electric.” Constructed with a high-tensile steel frame and featuring double crown suspension with 120mm travel, the Ranger is engineered for durability and comfort, even on rugged paths. It boasts a 48V 12.75Ah removable battery, providing a range of up to 75 km on pedal assist and 60 km when utilizing the throttle.
