EMotorad unveils India’s first smart connected e-cycle, the T-Rex Smart

EMotorad has introduced the T-Rex Smart, a groundbreaking electric bicycle featuring integrated Bluetooth and GPS technology, marking its place as India's first smart connected e-cycle. The Pune-based company, recognized as a significant player in the nation's e-cycle sector, aims to enhance urban commuting with this innovative model, designed for greater intelligence, security, and user-friendliness. The T-Rex Smart is available in two configurations: a Bluetooth-only version priced at ₹37,999 and a more advanced Bluetooth plus GPS version at ₹45,999. Both models seamlessly connect with the AMIIGO NXT app, crafted by EMotorad to establish a cohesive cycling ecosystem. Through the app, users can review their route history, monitor their trips in real-time, and assess their overall riding performance. Safety is a paramount consideration in this launch. The T-Rex Smart includes geofencing capabilities that allow users to set virtual riding boundaries, while a Child Lock feature restricts throttle speed for younger riders. This system also comes equipped with theft alerts, remote immobilization, emergency SOS options, and a detailed ride history, positioning the T-Rex Smart as more than just an e-cycle—it acts as an intelligent companion for riders. Kunal Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of EMotorad, emphasized the focus on meaningful innovation, stating, "At EMotorad, innovation has never been about adding noise; it’s about adding value. With T-Rex Smart, we wanted to create something that feels alive, something that connects people and keeps them safe. It’s built here in India and reflects our belief that good technology should quietly make everyday life better." The design of the T-Rex Smart adheres to EMotorad’s robust aesthetic, featuring a high-tensile steel hardtail MTB frame, 29-inch puncture-resistant tires, and a 100 mm front fork for a smoother ride. It is equipped with mechanical disc brakes that have an auto cut-off feature. Powering the bike is a 36V 250W rear-hub motor paired with a 36V 10.2Ah removable battery, providing up to 50 km on pedal assist and approximately 40 km on throttle. The cycling experience is further enhanced by a Cluster C5 display, Shimano TY300 7-speed drivetrain, and five levels of pedal assist. To cater to everyday needs, EMotorad has included full-metal mudguards, mirrors, a mobile holder, a carrier, an integrated front light with a horn, a pannier bag, and its Xcape Locksafe security system. With the T-Rex Smart, EMotorad is solidifying its presence in India’s dynamic smart mobility landscape, appealing to riders who seek a reliable e-cycle that infuses connected intelligence into their daily commutes.
