Elon Musk has once again taken the internet by storm, this time showcasing an innovative feature within his AI platform, Grok. During a recent demonstration, Musk revealed how users can effortlessly convert still images into dynamic videos with just a long press. He shared his excitement on X, stating, "Long press on any image to turn it into a video! Then customize the prompt to create whatever you can imagine." His playful example involved adding a boyfriend and transitioning the characters into muppets. The demonstration, which quickly gained traction online, highlighted Grok’s impressive ability to animate static images based on creative text prompts. Users across the platform began sharing their own experiments with the image-to-video transformation, showcasing the feature's versatility and charm. This new functionality is part of Grok's expanding suite of creative tools, which already includes capabilities like writing and image generation, as well as real-time data access from the X platform. Notably, Musk’s company, xAI, recently announced that Grok 4 is available for free to users globally, making it more accessible than ever. However, users should be aware of certain limitations with the free access. While anyone can try Grok at no cost, the free tier imposes restrictions on the number of prompts or queries per day. Premium features, including faster response times and access to advanced “SuperGrok” modes, remain exclusive to subscribers, particularly those enrolled in X’s Premium+ plan. In some regions, the free offering may only be temporary or promotional, with additional features being rolled out gradually. Grok presents multiple subscription tiers for those seeking enhanced access: the Free Tier, which offers basic functionality for casual users; SuperGrok, priced around ₹700 per month in India, providing greater usage limits and faster responses; and SuperGrok Heavy, aimed at enterprises and professionals, costing ₹29,900 per month in India. Pricing may vary depending on the region and platform, with mobile subscriptions possibly being higher than desktop ones. This launch represents a significant development in making one of the most talked-about AI chatbots available to a wider audience, inviting more users to explore its creative potential.
