Grok 3.5: Musk's answer to ‘Biased’ AI aims to rewrite human knowledge

Elon Musk, the prominent tech entrepreneur, has introduced a transformative vision for his AI chatbot, Grok. This new initiative aims to retrain the AI using what Musk describes as a more precise and cleaner version of human knowledge, positioning it as a competitor to established platforms like ChatGPT, which he has frequently criticized for perceived ideological bias. In a series of posts on social media platform X, Musk hinted at the possibilities of Grok 3.5, or possibly Grok 4, highlighting its advanced reasoning capabilities. He stated that this version is set to overhaul the existing body of human knowledge by correcting inaccuracies and filling in gaps. "We will utilize Grok 3.5 (or perhaps we should name it 4), equipped with advanced reasoning, to revise the entire corpus of human knowledge," Musk expressed. The entrepreneur has long raised alarms about what he calls an ideological "mind virus" that he believes is prevalent in current AI systems. This latest initiative is seen as a step toward developing an AI that operates with less bias and greater objectivity. Musk has also invited users to contribute what he terms "divisive facts"—statements that may be politically incorrect but are, in his opinion, rooted in truth—to be included in Grok’s training dataset. In a related development, xAI, Musk's AI company, announced a strategic partnership with the messaging platform Telegram. This collaboration involves a substantial investment of $300 million aimed at integrating Grok into Telegram over the next year. This partnership not only includes cash and equity but also establishes a revenue-sharing model, allowing Telegram to earn 50 percent of the subscription revenue generated through Grok on its platform. Telegram's founder, Pavel Durov, confirmed the partnership on X, emphasizing that the integration seeks to broaden Grok's accessibility to Telegram's extensive user base, which currently exceeds one billion globally. Durov also addressed potential privacy concerns, assuring users that Grok will only access content that is explicitly shared in conversations, aiming to protect user data.
