Deloitte launches Asia Pacific Agentic AI centre of excellence across India, Malaysia and Singapore

Deloitte has officially launched its Asia Pacific Agentic AI Centre of Excellence (CoE), with locations in India, Malaysia, and Singapore. This strategic move aims to facilitate large-scale and trusted AI transformations in the region, uniting over 6,000 AI professionals to support a projected pipeline of AI projects worth over $1 billion. The CoE is closely connected to Deloitte’s Global Agentic Network, which includes delivery centres across North America, Asia Pacific, and EMEA. Through this extensive network, the centre will utilize global partnerships and proprietary technologies to help organizations deploy digital workforces efficiently. Deloitte emphasizes that the CoE will focus on advancing businesses beyond conventional automation, embracing agentic AI, which comprises autonomous systems that can manage intricate workflows while continuously learning and adapting. Sathish Gopalaiah, President of Technology & Transformation at Deloitte South Asia, remarked on the significance of this initiative: "The launch of the Asia Pacific Agentic AI CoE marks a pivotal advancement in our approach to human-AI collaboration in India. We are witnessing a transition where AI evolves from merely enhancing processes to becoming a transformative force." Designed to foster innovation, the centre will provide clients with access to reusable tools, structured methodologies, and an environment conducive to rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept development. Additionally, Deloitte highlighted its partnership with NVIDIA and the integration of its proprietary Zora AI technology stack, enabling digital agents to autonomously execute vital tasks in various business areas such as finance, procurement, and marketing. Saurabh Kumar, Partner at Deloitte India, discussed the CoE’s potential impact on India’s AI landscape. "India’s robust digital public infrastructure and rich engineering expertise position us uniquely to lead in the development of agentic AI solutions. Through the CoE, we aspire to co-create sector-specific autonomous agents that adhere to Deloitte’s Trustworthy AI principles," he stated. The establishment of the CoE demonstrates Deloitte’s ongoing commitment to blending industry insights with cutting-edge engineering, aiming to assist clients in transitioning from experimental AI initiatives to scalable solutions. By defining agentic AI, Deloitte highlights the enhanced capabilities of AI, enabling autonomous agents to manage complex tasks independently, adapt to evolving circumstances, and support real-time strategic decision-making.
