Fake Realme, Oppo and OnePlus smartphones seized in major Delhi Police raid

In a significant operation, the Delhi Police Crime Branch has dismantled a large-scale counterfeit smartphone operation, resulting in the seizure of numerous fake devices from brands such as Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme. Two suspects have been taken into custody for their roles in the manufacturing, packaging, and distribution of these counterfeit mobile devices. The authorities acted swiftly, shutting down two warehouses in Karol Bagh, which were reportedly used for the packaging and labeling of the counterfeit smartphones. Additionally, a factory located in Moti Nagar was sealed, where packaging materials for these fake devices were being produced. More than eight machines used specifically for manufacturing the counterfeit phones were also confiscated during the operation. According to reports from ANI, the police uncovered a printing press along with several storage facilities that were integral to the counterfeit operation. These locations were involved in printing fake branding and labels, packaging the counterfeit products, and preparing them for illegal distribution in the market. This raid is part of a larger initiative targeting counterfeit electronic goods and other illegal products being sold within the city. The investigation is still ongoing, as authorities continue to probe the extent of this counterfeit network and its impact on consumers.
