Deezer has officially launched its annual feature, "My Deezer Year 2025," offering users a unique recap of their musical preferences, reminiscent of Spotify Wrapped. By debuting this update ahead of its competitors, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, Deezer provides listeners with an early glimpse into their favorite songs, artists, albums, and genres from the past year. This year's version introduces an enchanting "romantic comedy" theme, transforming the recap into a narrative journey. As users delve into their listening habits, they will feel like the protagonists in a charming storyline, with whimsical moments akin to a classic meet-cute. The experience unfolds over three episodes, each revealing different aspects of users' listening trends. The first episode, titled "Meet Cute," showcases the new artists users have discovered throughout the year. The second episode, "Love Triangle," focuses on the top three artists that resonated most with users, while the concluding episode, "Happily Ever After," presents their favorite tracks along with a personalized playlist designed for continued enjoyment. This year’s edition marks a departure from the interactive style of "My Deezer Year 2024," which allowed users to choose between being "roasted" or "hyped up" based on their music tastes. Continuing the tradition, the new recap features a personalized quiz that lets users answer compatibility questions related to their musical preferences, enabling them to share their results with friends to discover their musical matches. In an exciting twist, non-Deezer users can now create quizzes to share with others, aiming to entice new users to download the app and engage with the community on social media. Deezer revealed some compelling statistics as well, noting that, on average, users listened to approximately 122.8 hours of music over the past year, streaming more than 691 songs from 402 different artists and uncovering 357 new tracks. "My Deezer Year 2025" is accessible now on both iOS and Android platforms.
