Insurance startup Corgi has made headlines by securing $160 million in its Series B funding round, spearheaded by TCV. This impressive funding has catapulted the company’s valuation to $1.3 billion, as co-founder Nico Laqua shared on LinkedIn. This achievement comes a mere four months after Corgi raised $108 million in its Series A round. With a total of $268 million raised so far, Corgi has quickly ascended to unicorn status, becoming one of Y Combinator's latest success stories. Founded in 2024 by Laqua and Emily Yuan during the Y Combinator Spring 2024 batch, Corgi specializes in providing insurance coverage that includes general liability, cyber liability, and tech and AI liability. The startup counts prominent clients such as Deel and Artisan among its customer base. Other notable investors participating in this funding round include Kindred Ventures, Leblon Capital, and First Order Fund. As of now, Corgi has not responded to requests for additional comments on this development.
