Coralogix raises $200M on bet that someone needs to watch the AI agents

Coralogix, a software monitoring startup based in Boston and founded in Israel, has successfully raised $200 million in its latest funding round. This significant investment reflects the growing demand for advanced tools that can monitor and manage increasingly autonomous AI software systems. The Series F funding comes less than a year after the company raised $115 million during its Series E round, highlighting the rapid acceleration of investor interest in AI infrastructure. With the latest financing, Coralogix is now valued at $1.6 billion post-money. The round was spearheaded by Advent and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), and also saw participation from Greenfield Partners and Brighton Park Capital. To date, the company has amassed a total of $550 million in funding. As AI agents become more prevalent, software firms are in a race to adapt. These agents can autonomously write code, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks that traditionally required human intervention. Coralogix positions itself as a key player in this environment, focusing on the need for sophisticated tools that can monitor AI behavior, troubleshoot failures, and provide essential operational data. Founded in 2014, Coralogix specializes in monitoring the health and performance of software systems by collecting and analyzing operational data such as logs and metrics. The platform is utilized by over 5,000 customers globally, including major companies like IBM, Tradeweb, and JFrog, to identify outages and optimize application performance. The observability sector, where Coralogix competes with firms like Datadog and Splunk, is being transformed by AI advancements. Vendors are increasingly integrating AI into their monitoring and incident response systems, adapting to the rise of AI-powered applications. This shift in technology has also altered how customers engage with Coralogix’s platform, according to co-founder and CEO Ariel Assaraf. Assaraf revealed that more than half of Coralogix's enterprise clients now utilize the AI agent known as Olly or their own AI models to investigate incidents and analyze operational data. This trend indicates a significant change in user interaction, with clients preferring to communicate with AI assistants rather than traditional dashboards. The company has reported impressive growth, with a revenue increase of over 60% in the past year. It now has approximately 30 clients spending more than $1 million annually and surpassed $100 million in annualized revenue over a year ago. Coralogix employs over 600 individuals worldwide, with a significant presence in India, which serves as a regional hub to support clients across Asia. While the company is not seeking additional funds for operational needs, the new capital will be directed toward enhancing AI-driven products, expanding security offerings, and pursuing global growth. Assaraf emphasized the importance of execution and speed in the AI era, stating that Coralogix aims to lead in its field. The company is also preparing to adopt the financial discipline expected of a public entity, although a timeline for an initial public offering has not been established.
